Measure instead of guessing!

Get a regular overview of all the important water parameters in your marine aquarium to know if they are correct or if you need to take action to correct those that are trending in the wrong direction. When problems arise (sick fish, lack of growth of invertebrates, algae problems), water analyzes are in fact the only way to identify the causes. As soon as you have found the cause using the tests, you can remedy the problem in a targeted manner.

The analysis box contains the following tests:

pH test: water acidity level from 7.4 to 9.0

O2 test: determination of oxygen content

KH test: stability of water pH (carbonate hardness)

PO4 test: determination of phosphate content (cause of algae and plant nutrient)

NH4 / NH3 test: display of non-toxic ammonium, identification of toxic ammonia by table

NO2 test: determination of nitrite, a nitrogen compound toxic to fish

NO3 test: determination of nitrates (cause of algae and plant nutrient).

Cu test: heavy metal deadly for invertebrates. Test also important for adjusting the therapeutic dose of drugs

SiO2 test: determination of silicates (silicic acid), cause of diatoms

Ca test: determination of the calcium content in a marine aquarium. Recommended content for healthy coral growth: between 400 and 440 mg/l

Mg-Ca test: determination of the magnesium and calcium content in marine aquariums. The magnesium content should be between 1200 and 1600 mg/l. First the Mg content is tested, then the Ca content. The value of the Ca content is then subtracted from the Mg content to obtain the true Mg content of the water.
