The Vectra can be set to calibrate automatically on your tank. As a return pump, this smart feature prevents back siphoning if the pump is stopped and also provides a neutral flow condition in feed mode.

Compatible with back-up battery

In a no-flow aquarium, fish and corals can start to die in as little as 4-10 hours. The backup battery is reef insurance in an aluminum case.

Cost savings

Traditional AC pumps, when used as a return pump for your sump, are flow controlled using a throttle valve. This method of control is inherently ineffective for two reasons. 1) The purchased AC pump often needs to be too powerful for your given setup in order to allow flexibility. 2) By adding artificial impedance to your stream, electricity is wasted. The Vectra pump will always operate at optimum efficiency as it is not necessary to use a flow limiting valve to achieve the desired flow rate.

When used with ReefLink, your Vectra pump can send you performance and status alerts directly to your mobile device or computer. Your return pump is the heart of your aquarium; the sooner you hear about an unexpected problem, the more successful you will be as an aquarist.
