A protective veil must not be missing

under any pool liner. A protective veil must be placed under each pool liner. It effectively and permanently protects the pool lining from below against sharp objects, roots and mechanical damage. Our high-quality protective fleece has a high penetration load. It is made of environmentally friendly material, resistant to frost, heat, rot and natural chemicals from rain and soil. The protective fleece is also suitable for contact with groundwater.

Put on the protective fleece

Laying the protective fleece is very simple. Lay the 2 meter strips of protective fleece with an overlap of approximately 10 cm. You can fuse the lengths with a hot air blower. This is especially useful for large ponds. If you then align the pond liner on the protective fleece, the fleece sheets can no longer slip.

Step-by-step instructions for laying a protective veil and pond liner

1. Remove all sharp stones from the excavation. If you want to finely mold the shapes, sand is best.

2. Then apply the protective fleece. The strips should overlap by about 10 cm. The protective fleece must not slip when installing the pool liner. To do this, attach the protective veil to the edge of the pool, for example with stones. You can connect the overlap with a hot air fan. This provides additional protection against slipping during alignment and subsequent laying of the pond liner.

3. The next step is to place the pond liner. The pond liner that we deliver is marked with its width and length. This allows you to position and unwind the film correctly without having to rotate it multiple times.

4. The pond should now fill quickly. But don't cut the edge of the pond liner just yet. After filling, the pond liner may still settle a little. At the edge of the pond, you should cover the pond liner with soil to create a capillary barrier. The capillary barrier is important. Otherwise, roots and weeds will grow in the pond. These then continuously draw a considerable amount of water from the pond.

5. Aquatic plants can now be planted. It is necessary to wait a little longer before stocking the fish until the biological balance is established.
