Healthy aquarium and natural living conditions
Aquarium water parameters depend on its population and plants. Even clear water can be polluted. If the parameters are poor, diseases or algae may occur. For a healthy aquarium, with natural living conditions, it is important to regularly monitor water parameters. With JBL tests you can determine important water parameters quickly and accurately.
The analysis box contains the following tests:
pH test: water acidity from 3.0 to 10
pH test: water acidity 6.0 to 7.6
pH test: water acidity 7.4 to 9.0
O2 test: determination of oxygen content
GH test: determination of total hardness
KH test: pH stability (carbonate hardness)
PO4 test: determination of phosphates (cause of algae and plant nutrient)
NH4 / NH3 test: display of non-toxic ammonium, calculation of toxic ammonia on table
NO2 test: determination of nitrites, nitrogen compounds toxic to fish
NO3 test: determination of nitrates (cause of algae and plant nutrient)
Fe test: determination of the iron content to control fertilization
Cu test: heavy metal, deadly for invertebrates. Also important for therapeutic dosage of drugs
SiO2 test: determination of silicates (silicic acid), origin of diatoms.
To determine the CO2 content, simply measure the pH and KH. The CO2 content of the water is deduced from these two parameters and can be noted in the table provided.
The following tests are available in addition:
K test: determination of potassium, plant nutrient
Mg test Fresh water: determination of magnesium, a plant nutrient
direct CO2 test: determination of the current CO2 level, for vigorous plant growth.
